Create a free account in

1. Google Scholar, Scopus, ORCID; use the latter to sign-in to: OverLeaf and My NCBI

2. Create a Springer Nature Research Communities account using your ORCID

3. GitHub; use to sign-in to RStudio Cloud and VS Code; integrates with OverLeaf

4. Create an account on Zenodo and join the McPhersonLab community

5. Zotero, a citation manager that integrates with Chrome, Word, Overleaf

6. Create a quarto-rendered github-pages profile at repo named ‘CHANGETOYOURUSERNAME.github.io’, similar to mine. Let me know when this is done so I may add you to People

7. Create your own Elsevier Interfolio account for tracking your dossier, letters and applications.

Future endeavors: Science via Emerald Cloud Labs (ECL), CLC Genomics (Qiagen) and AWS, which I maintain access via the SIB’s AWS-Docker

• Begin reading, writing, publishing in our Favorite Journals

• Place your research posts as a sub-folder in folder ‘publications’ such as that of mine mine. I will pull it into the Lab publications folder
